Journey to the Stage: 2016 Prep Goals
Is it me or did February fly by? Anyone? It's been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I would rather have quality posts less frequently versus of a bunch of nonsense posts that aren't worth the read. One quick housekeeping item: I am officially taking on clients for training and nutrition counseling, so if you're interested in working with me, head on over to my "Work With Me!" tab above to check out the packages I'm currently offering. Next, as I have announced on most of my social media platforms, I am officially competing this year, with my first show being in July (wahoo!!). I am currently about 21 weeks out from the stage, and I plan to document the process of my competition prep, both through this blog site, as well as my YouTube channel, which you can view here! Since I have gone through a competition prep before, I have goals that I am aiming for during my second season that I would like to share with you. I was planning on using a simple, lined notebook to jot my thoughts down on, but I picked up the light blue journal (shown in the photo above) from Target and it's so perfect for what I was looking for. It has daily journal prompts on each page, along with motivational quotes in the corners, and places to document things I am grateful for, what my goals are, and even a scale to rate my mood and energy for each day. SCORE!
2016 Season Goals:
Journal consistently (everyday or every other day) to organize thoughts and feelings
Balance show prep and all of my relationships
Don't be a hermit; get out more and do more!
Improved shoulders and glutes
RELAX and practice understanding that I cannot control everything
Photoshoot
New/improved posing
Do not compare myself to ANYONE else
With these in mind, I am beyond excited for what's in store this year. Filling my mind, heart, and attitude with positivity. Follow me on my journey to the stage! Thank you for reading :)
