What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives have not yet happened.
I was a three-sport athlete in high school, and when I moved to college five hours away, I went into a downward spiral with an eating disorder and became obsessed with everything I ate/drank; I would spend hours on the treadmill trying to burn off what I had consumed. Over a period of about two years, I educated myself on nutrition and did my own research, learning how to not make food an enemy, but fuel, and also not a way to cope with my problems. I also created an Instagram account as a place to keep track of both my mental and physical progress over time.
The summer after graduating from college (June 2015), I entered my first bodybuilding competition in the bikini division, where I placed 5th in my class of 12 beautiful, strong, and deserving women. I wanted to compete to challenge myself with the knowledge I had attained, not because I wanted my "skinny, dream body". Since then, I have transformed my mind into eating, living, and working out in the healthiest way possible for my body; I want to be strong and I want to be kind to the body I have been given in this life.
I am now a certified personal trainer, specializing in High Intensity and Resistance Training and planning to attend the Intitute for the Psychology of Eating in the Fall of 2016. I offer online coaching for both fitness and nutrition plans, using flexible dieting/macro tracking ifestyles. If you're interested in working with me to reach your goals, check out my Work With Me! tab across the top of the screen. It is my goal to both coach and train people wanting to reach their nutrition and fitness goals in the most successful, sustainable way possible. I also want to spread body positivity and self love to those who are struggling with body image issues and need life coaching and eating psychology support.
Thank you for checking out my site! I hope to connect with you soon.
